Morsify app privacy policy
This policy covers the Morsify app for Android (com.morsify.app). The website has its own privacy policy.
What stays on your phone
Text you translate, morse you tap, decoded text, your settings (speed, pitch, outputs) and your Koch trainer progress are stored only on your phone. We never receive them. Android may include this data in your own device backup, which is controlled by your Google account settings.
Microphone
The audio decoder asks for microphone access. The app reads sound only while you have pressed “Start listening”, analyses it in memory to find morse tones, and throws it away. No audio is recorded, stored or uploaded. You can turn the permission off at any time in Android Settings › Apps › Morsify › Permissions.
Flashlight and vibration
The app switches the flashlight and vibration on and off only to send the morse you asked it to play. It does not use the camera to take pictures or video.
Purchases
Plans are sold through Google Play. Google handles your payment details; we never see them. Our billing provider RevenueCat receives the purchase record from Google Play (product, dates, country, price and an anonymous app user ID it creates) so the app can check whether you have Pro and restore it on a new install. This data is used only to provide your plan. Google’s handling is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
What the app does not collect
- No name, email address or account.
- No location, contacts, photos or files.
- No advertising ID, no ads and no analytics or tracking SDKs.
- No audio recordings.

Help and privacy links in the app open morsify.co in your browser. The website’s own data handling is described in the website privacy policy.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Your rights and deleting data
Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored on your phone. To have your purchase record removed from RevenueCat, or for any other privacy request (including EU/UK GDPR rights), email Reveal email. Include the email address of your Google Play account so we can find the purchase. Subscriptions are cancelled in Google Play, not by deleting data.
Changes
If the app starts collecting anything new, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.
