The morse you translate — love letters, proposals, secret phrases — never leaves your device. Here's everything else we do and don't do.
What we collect
Two lightweight analytics scripts run on every page:
- Google Analytics 4 — counts pageviews, referring site, rough country, and device category (desktop vs. mobile). Uses first-party cookies for session measurement. Any standard analytics blocker will turn it off and nothing on the site breaks.
- Ahrefs Web Analytics — cookie-free, lightweight traffic counts. We use it as a second source of truth for which pages drive traffic from search.
Both are aggregate. Neither identifies you. Neither has access to anything you type into the translator.
What we never collect
- The text you translate. Encoding and decoding runs in your browser's JavaScript engine. Nothing is sent to our servers — and most of our pages are static, so there aren't servers to send it to.
- Your audio. The Web Audio API plays tones locally. We never record, upload, or save anything.
- Account data. There are no accounts. No email required to use the translator, the jewelry mockup, or any other tool on the site.
- Third-party ad profiles. We don't run Google Ads cookies, Facebook pixels, or retargeting tags.
Cookies
Google Analytics 4 sets a small number of first-party cookies to measure sessions. These expire quickly (minutes to two years, depending on the cookie). Ahrefs Web Analytics is cookie-free. That's the full list — no tracking cookies beyond those.
Your rights
If you live in the EU, UK, or a region with equivalent data laws, you have the right to request any personal data we hold about you and to have it deleted. Because we only collect aggregate analytics, we probably don't hold identifiable data on you — but ask anyway and we'll respond honestly.
Opting out
- Block analytics: any ad blocker or privacy extension (uBlock Origin, Firefox's Enhanced Tracking Protection, Safari's Intelligent Tracking Prevention) disables our analytics completely. The translator still works fine.
- Do Not Track: we honor the browser DNT header. If you've got it on, analytics don't fire.
