The Morsify app: translate, send, decode and learn morse code
A morse code translator that also listens. Send messages with sound, flashlight or vibration, decode morse audio through the microphone, and learn with the Koch method. Works offline.
Android only for now.

What the app does
- Morse code translator — Type text and get morse at once, or type dots and dashes and get text. Characters with no morse code are shown, never dropped silently.
- Sound, flashlight, vibration, screen — Send your message as a tone, with the phone's flashlight, as vibration, or as a full-screen flash. Speed 5–40 WPM, Farnsworth spacing, pitch 400–1000 Hz.
- Tap key — Tap morse like a telegraph key: a short tap is a dot, a longer press is a dash. The app learns your rhythm and writes the letters.
- Morse audio decoder — Hold the phone near a morse sound — radio CW, another app, a video, a buzzer. It finds the tone, learns the speed and writes the text.
- Koch trainer — Hear characters at full speed from day one. Start with K and M and add one character each time you score 90%. 39 lessons, 40 characters.
- Morse code chart — The full International Morse alphabet, numbers and punctuation. Tap any character to hear it.
The morse audio decoder
The decoder listens for the tone that switches on and off, not just the loudest sound, so a fan or hum doesn’t fool it. It learns the sender’s speed from the first few dots and dashes and keeps following it if the speed changes. It works best with a steady beep between 300 and 1200 Hz. Very fast, faint or very noisy signals can come out with errors. Sound is processed on the phone and never recorded.

Questions
Is there an iPhone app?
Not yet. The app is on Android. On iPhone or a computer, the translator, chart and learning pages on morsify.co work in the browser for free.
How well does the audio decoder work?
Best with a steady beep between 300 and 1200 Hz, like radio CW or another morse app. Very fast, faint or very noisy signals can come out with errors. It does not decode flashing lights or spoken "dit-dah".
What does the app cost?
The app needs a Pro plan: yearly $29.99 with a 3-day free trial, weekly $4.99, or lifetime $59.99 as a one-time purchase. Google Play shows the price in your currency before you buy. Cancel subscriptions anytime in Google Play.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Translating, playing, decoding and training all run on the phone. Only buying or restoring a plan needs a connection.
Does the app record me?
No. The decoder reads microphone sound in memory to find morse tones. Audio is never saved or sent anywhere. Details are in the app privacy policy.
Which languages does it support?
The app's menus are in English, Spanish and Portuguese. It translates International (Latin) morse code: letters A–Z, digits and common punctuation.
